Pull Priorities >>
The Top Four List of Pull Priorities - compiled by Gary Shaffer
Number 4: Make sure there's no one near you who isn't supposed to
be there, then pull at your assigned altitude or higher, in a stable,
belly-to-Earth position.
The best of all worlds. But if you haven't cleared the
airspace around you before reaching your assigned pull altitude, pull
anyway, and stay ahead of the skydive a little better next time.
Number 3: Pull at your assigned altitude or higher, in
a stable, belly-to-Earth position.
Stable pulls lower the probablity of malfunctions; not
to mention the instructor's blood pressure. And by the
way, maintain your arch and heading until the opening canopy pulls
you out of it.
The freefall isn't over 'til the canopy says it's over.
Number 2: Pull at your assigned altitude or higher.
If you're not stable at pull time, pull anyway. We'll talk
about it later. Expect to hear the word "arch" a lot.
And our Number 1 pull priority: PULL!
