AFF Level 3
The freefall learning objectives for level three are to relax and
fall stable in an arched position; maintain altitude, heading,
and body position awareness;
fly unassisted in control your freefall; adjust heading
if needed; and wave off at 5000ft and deploy the main parachute.
Under canopy,
you will be expected to perform a "Square,
Steerable, and Stable"
canopy check, three practice flares, practice different
controlled turns, and locate the airport. If necessary,
your jumpmaster will assist you by radio as you follow
your predetermined downwind, base, and final landing approach
into the designated student area.
