AFF Level 1
The freefall learning objectives for level one are to
relax and fall stable in an arched position; maintain altitude,
heading, and body position awareness; and wave off at 5000ft
and deploy the main parachute. Under canopy, you will be
expected to perform a "Square, Steerable, and Stable"
canopy check, three practice flares, and locate the airport.
Your jumpmaster will assist you by radio as you follow
your predetermined downwind, base, and final landing approach
into the designated student area. If you can't make it
back for some reason, there are plenty of open fields
in Monroe - ask you instructor to see a large arial view.
